Mike Nagyhazy is a San Diego-based Security Executive specializing in site risk assessments and creating robust, preventative security strategies for various businesses.  Mike was the previous Director of Security and Safety at the 1,628 room, world-class Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego where he built a strong partnership with the San Diego Harbor Police Department.  Mike has over 20 years of security leadership experience with corporations such as Target, 24 Hour Fitness, and Harbor Freight Tools, where he oversaw corporate and national security and safety teams.  Much earlier in his career, Mike was a security instructor for a large school district in the Coachella Valley, and also spent time as a Correctional Deputy where Mike graduated President of his Sheriff’s Academy.  Mike has always found value in partnering closely with law enforcement with a goal of bridging the gap between public safety and the private sector.  In his spare time, Mike enjoys cooking, hiking, exploring new restaurants in San Diego, as well as, training his high-energy Belgian Malinois rescue dog.
