K-9 UNIT

Our Foundation provides specialized equipment and training for the five Explosive Detection K-9 teams within the Port of San Diego Harbor Police. These teams are a regional asset deployed throughout San Diego County and our International Airport to sniff out bombs. They also protect presidents and other high-profile dignitaries who visit our city with regularity.  

The Foundation has enhanced the Unit with a new canine wash station, automatic water feeder systems, and an equipment storage building. This was possible due to the generosity of the Daugerdas Family and others like you.
